Ian Adair has been involved in the sale of businesses over the last 25 years extensively in transaction negotiation, price maximization and deal closing support with total transactions in the range of $1.0 billion.

With Ian’s six years of experience as a Controller and VP Finance he also has insights into how key operating indicators and the measurement of these metrics can assist with financial reporting telling the story of a business’ results and the value of the business to the shareholders.

Raj Manek Born 2 kms from the equator in Kenya, Africa to his first move to Canada in Inuvik, Raj has experienced unique life experiences. His passion of mentorship through the operation of the non-profit business to business mentorship program in his father’s name, the Raj Manek Sr. Mentorship Program which has coached over 600 businesses in a period of 30 years is the basis for his desire to help others grow. Just as his involvement in mentorship has created a network that helps businesses work together to grow, he is now creating a network for CPA firms that facilitate client transitions. That network has the intent of helping CPA firms evolve in their service offerings and create better value and exit opportunities for clients.

Raj has worked in the area of valuations and purchase and sale of business for over 25 years and he brings that experience to CPA Edmonton for us all to participate in.

Please note, the meal is a traditional Christmas Dinner (Turkey and all that good stuff). As a thank-you for the continued support of our members, we are hosting a luncheon on December 15, 2026 This luncheon will be free to all members under the following criteria:

1. Firms with a single CPA membership will be allowed max 2 attendees, a firm with a two to five CPA membership will be allowed a MAXIMUM of five attendees; Firms with a membership of six or more CPA's will be allowed a MAXIMUM of ten attendees.

2. Booked no shows will be invoiced at $60 plus GST.

3. Your membership MUST be current for the 2026 - 2027 year.

Registration will close as soon as the registration limit is reached according to room size constraints at the Chateau Louis.
